Konsequent auf Wachstumskurs verstärkt sich PONTES mit Wirkung zum 1. September 2026 mit zwei renommierten Continuing its expansion strategy, PONTES is hiring two expert lawyers from Taylor Wessing with effect from 1 September 2026: Dr Cornelia Maetschke-Biersack will join the firm as an equity partner, accompanied by fellow lawyer Hannah Berger.
- Dr. Cornelia Maetschke-Biersack is a specialist lawyer in family law and a mediator. She is recognised in the market for her outstanding expertise in negotiating and drafting marriage agreements both with entre-preneurial and cross-border elements. Her clients include members of the most successful entrepreneurial families in Germany as well as other well known and prominent individuals.
She also advises high-net-worth individuals on all aspects of wealth structuring and (business) succession, both by way of lifetime gifts made in anticipation of succession as well as estate planning, in particular testamentary dispositions. Again, her focus is on matters with an international dimension. Dr Cornelia Maetschke-Biersack is regularly recognised and recommended as a leading lawyer in family law and private client matters in national and international rankings.
With her arrival, PONTES is increasing the number of its equity partners to five.
- Hannah Berger will further strengthen the firm’s legal team. She also advises on wealth structuring and business succession, particularly for business families and high-net-worth individuals. Her practice includes the drafting of wills and other testamentary dispositions, as well as structuring lifetime transfers of assets. She also represents clients in estate disputes as well as estate administration and settlement matters. In addition, she advises on issues at the interface between family and corporate law.
